The India e-Visa is an electronic travel authorization issued by the Government of India for eligible foreign nationals visiting for tourism, business, or medical purposes. It replaces the need to visit an embassy or mail your passport for most short trips.
Eligible travelers apply entirely online: upload a passport scan and photograph, pay the government fee, and receive the e-Visa by email. Present it (printed or digital) at immigration on arrival in India.
